From November 27 to December 2, 2024, EDF participated in the SIREXE (International Exhibition for Extractive and Energy Resources), held at the Abidjan Exhibition Park. Organized by the Ivorian Ministry of Mines, Oil, and Energy, this event brought together key players from the mining and energy sectors with the aim of promoting local resources, encouraging strategic partnerships, and raising public awareness of these industries.

At its booth, EDF showcased the Group's solutions in Africa, with a particular focus on Ivory Coast, highlighting the initiatives of its various subsidiaries. The Tevia Energie solar kit, the Greeno solar pump, and the Biovea biomass power plant model generated significant interest throughout the fair. ARIC, specializing in industrial refrigeration, displayed a solar cold room designed to reduce post-harvest losses by maintaining the cold chain and enabling product storage. This technology attracted visits from Mr. Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly, Minister of Mines, Oil and Energy, as well as Ms. Kandia Camara, President of the Senate.

Through virtual reality, visitors to the booth had the opportunity to explore and visit the Nachtigal construction site, which will become Cameroon’s largest hydroelectric power plant. The BIOVEA project, the largest biomass power plant in West and Central Africa, was the central topic of discussions. This project demonstrates EDF's commitment to combining innovation, sustainable development, and a positive impact on local communities.

On December 1, 2024, at its booth, EDF signed a contract for the construction and financing of a solar power plant for KAERA COSMETIC. With a capacity of 400 kW, this project will help the company reduce its CO2 emissions by approximately 210 tons per year and will cover more than 30% of its energy needs.

Through its participation in SIREXE, EDF reaffirms its commitment to the energy transition and sustainable development in Côte d'Ivoire and across the African continent.
