On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the EDF Group’s West Africa Management organized a lunch conference which brought together EDF West Africa’s women and 17 young girls who are members of the NGO DYNEX AFRICA (Dynamiques Excellentes Africa) and students at the Lycée Moderne d’Abobo whose ages vary between 11 and 15 years old.
DYNEX AFRICA is an NGO that aims at promoting the culture of excellence among young girls as well as the education of young girls from working-class neighborhoods and from rural areas. DYNEX AFRICA carries out actions to generate young girls' interest in STEM (Science -Technology Engineering-Mathematics). Also, thanks to this NGO, these young girls have the opportunity to follow several trainings in programming, robotics, automation, etc.
On the occasion of Women's Day, we invited these young girls to our premises where the theme in Ivory Coast was: "Technological and digital innovations: tools for the social and economic inclusion of women in Ivory Coast".
